I'm trying to find a recipe by date. In this case yesterday. I know I entered it but cannot remember the name (or ingredients!). The only place I see a date reference is in the Print panel (from: to:) so I thought I would try the preview for recipes entered yesterday, but I can't seem to get it to work. I entered from: (yesterday's date) and to: (today's date) and hit "Preview and Print" but nothing showed up except a blank page.

Well, I had just entered one for today so I entered the 18th in both boxes (from and to) and hit the "Preview and Print" button - nothing.

 I checked a recipe that I had entered yesterday 17th Nov. (one I remembered!) and asked for a print preview of it, but the date shown on the preview was 18th (today - the day I was printing it - not the date it was entered)

I'm confused. Exactly how does this work?

Also, I see the date only appears on the print page so you must have it recorded with the recipe when it was entered. Any chance we could have the date we entered the recipe listed on the edit page or the view page?

Maybe even a "search by date" function as well so that we could find a recipe we entered last month or a few days ago.

I too would love a feature in the future that allows searching by date or date range that the recipe was entered or imported.  I try to keep my recipe boxes organized but every now and then I "misplace" a recipe and have a difficult time finding it by name. 

The date stored in BigOven for Windows reflects the date that the recipe was last viewed, not when it was entered.  We agree that more detailed search by date entered would be nice to have.
