    Print Cookbook

I have been researching cookbook software and I really like the features of BigOven.  However, according to the reviews and product comparisons that I have seen, BigOven does not have the feature for printing cookbooks.  Please confirm that this is correct and if this is correct, does BigOven plan on adding this feature anytime soon?  Thank you.

I cant speak for BO directly but no you cant print a cookbook with chapters etc. However I have made a family cookbook from my BO recipes . If you look at BO as the main cookbook and the recipe boxes as the chapters its really easy to make your own.

In terms of printing chapter headings, no, BigOven does not yet support that.

But you can highlight multiple recipes at once in the left hand result-set, and then print the recipes out out, one to a page, in one of 7 different layout formats.  (If you know a little HTML, you can actually customize this layout quite a bit, by opening up one of the Theme files and customizing it.)

I too bought BO thinking I could print a family cookbook but can not see how I can do this.  Is it spelled out somewhere in help?

    Hi there,

Here are a couple suggestions -- you can select all the recipes in a the recipe box of your choice, and choose print -- there are 7 different layout templates to choose from.  If you'd like to export them to Word for further customization, you can download the free BOPTool that was written by a community member, and format them in Word:  http://www.bigoven.com/Many-Ways-to-Print-Recipes-47-23-qa.html

If that doesn't meet your expectations, we'll be happy to honor the 30-day No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee -- just uninstall the product and jot a note to support@bigoven.com.  (This will void your serial number.)  Thanks!

    Re: Print Cookbook

Thanks for great response.  I followed instructions and have almost successfully formatted the recipes in Word to be able to print out a Family Cookbook  however....when I do a binder view..it formats every other page with an acceptable left "binder" margin.  But...each alternating page has about a quarter inch margin.  Help!!!

I also get a debugging message when I choose binder view...

The BOPTool was written by a community member -- it's probably best to ask that question here:

Or directly of the author:  http://www.bigoven.com/~ReneeM

    Thanks!
