Yes, I'm running the latest version.
Here are some other operating system details: Windows XP SP3 on all computers.
I keep bigoven data files and recipes on a shared network drive, that I map using network conventions (\\Netcenter\shared files\big oven) and not drive letter assignments. (See long ago post-- it makes it possible for me to connect to Big Oven even when the mapped drive has not automatically reconnected...)
At the moment, Chrome is my default browser, but I have IE7 installed, and it works fine from inside Big Oven.
I outlined this behavior (aisle-hijacking) along with another odd sorting behavior in a post on 10/22/06; both "bugs" still hold true for me, so I doubt that the browser/Windows version have anything to do with it. Here's a quote from the earlier post:
BUG 1. If an ingredient has an apostrophe in the name, the department/aisle will not appear on the grocery list, and the ingredient will sort to the bottom, even if the department is correctly indicated in the main ingredients database. ie.: Newman's Salad Dressing; Annie's Macaroni and Cheese, etc. My workaround (once I discovered why it was happening) is to take out the apostrophe. Easy enough, once you know that the problem occurs-- perhaps there is some way of including this in a "notes" file so that others don't spend so much time trying to figure out why the department of certain ingredients keeps vanishing...
BUG 2. If an ingredient has a keyword in it that relates to an obvious department/aisle (ie "butter" in Peanut Butter, or "Tomato" in Tomato Paste), the ingredient will default to the aisle most often associated with the keyword, even if another aisle has been selected in the master ingredient list. So, following the previous example, I keep finding "Peanut Butter" in the Dairy department, and "Tomato Paste" in Produce. My work around is to reverse the word order in the master ingredients list-- Paste, tomato, and, if that doesn't work, to misspell the word "Peanut Botter". Then the proper aisle gets assigned.
