Sometimes, I use parts of one recipe for another. For example, my marinade for strawberries, that I use in Spinach Salad, Strawberry Tiaramisu. It would be really nice to be able to link one recipe to another in that case. Something like:

1 bag spinach leaves washed, dried and torn
1 box strawberries washed, hulled and sliced
2 apple chopped
1/4 cup Walnuts chopped
<link>Strawberry Marinade</link>
1 bottle Girrards White Balsamic Salad Dressing

or maybe:

Use only one package, save the other for <link>garlic bread</link>.

(Just a clarifying note that this is already available in the online portion of BigOven -- see "Create Link" on the right hand side.  But we agree it'd also be very helpful on the desktop.)

Yes, this would certainly be a big help.

Yup, I know it's available on line, but still not the way it should be.  For example, Turkey in a Nesco with Injection and Rub [http://www.bigoven.com/168259-Turkey-In-A-Nesco-with-Injection-and-Rub-recipe.html] shows the link to the right as "arbpen says I recommend preceeding it with Turkey Brine".  That's fine for a recipe like this, that does not REQUIRE the preceeding recipe, but not for a recipe that does.

Something like:

<link>Some Recipe</link>

1 ingredient

1 other ingredient

would be better, as it would be obvious that recipe  was REQUIRED to complete the  dish.
