BigOven

As I have a G1 phone with Android, I would like to know if an app similar to the IPhone's is in the pipe; if so, is there a timeframe for its availability?

No such BigOven app is available yet, but we are exploring all the popular platforms.  For the moment, you can use BigOven's mobile-friendly site, which is:

on your Android phone.  It lets you search the archive and get at all your online Favorites and Try Soons.  Be sure to bookmark it!

I've been a MasterCook user for about 10 years, but the software that gets the Android app first will be my choice. I'm on a T-mobile MyTouch.

 I just got an android phone and was a little disappointed that big oven didn't have an app for it!

You guys should work on this, I am sure there are many people who would use this app!

 We totally agree!  The thing is, there's only so much time in the day, and we're trying to keep costs as low (even free!) as possible.  That's why we're rolling out an API for developers to write their own apps that we can't always get around to.  (See http://api.bigoven.com -- we'll be announcing this shortly!)
