BigOven

Is there any chance of a list of ingredients and maybe a description and photo? Such as today I bought what i 'thought' were normal oranges and they turned out to be 'Minneolas'. I had to do a Google Search. It would be nice to be able to go directly from BigOven (program) or the new Beta site to find the answer instead of a Google search. Perhaps you could do it as a Wiki so that members could add ingredients. Just a suggestion to make it "all in one!"

I really love this idea too.  Not only because I sometimes buy the wrong things, but since I'm fairly new to cooking on a regular basis and actually looking for recipes (yes guilty as charged for eating out almost all meals for years lol, long story).  Anyways, there are lots of times I see things in recipes and have no idea what they are and as mentioned by qwertz, you end up having to google it to find out what it is.

Granted that works just fine too, but I would love to see a way to look up those items that are totally unfamiliar to me and see what they are, when of course they don't show up in the Food Dictionary that is already present on the site.

Maybe just make the Food Dictionary updateable by us too if it isn't already and I just didn't notice that is lol.  I'm fairly new to the site yet so still finding all kinds of new and great things all over that I didn't know were there :)

What is this Food Dictionary? Is it in the Beta website? If so, where?
