Can I restore from two back up files that have different info into one program?

I just got started putting in recipes when my computer went down.  Now I have loaded the program on another computer and going on with entering my recipes.  When I get my computer back ( approx 6 weeks) will I be able to restore the back up file from one computer into the other without loosing anything in either backup files?

I have tried since March to transfer the recipe files from my computer to my husbands.  I printed your instructions and have tried many, many times but can not get them to copy over.  The only difference between machines is mine only runs xp/serv pack 2 but my husband runs xp/serv pack3.  I have tried to copy over the standard file, the rbox file, and have also deleted the complete Big Oven file and copy the current one over.  Still no luck.  What do I not understand about this process?  The only thing I can think of is enter every new recipe on both machines individually.  That is a real pain.  So I am asking again for help.

We're working on a brief how-to video to show you how this is done.

Basically, you simply copy the "My BigOven Recipes" folder from the existing ("old") location to the new location.  The new location is described here:  "Where BigOven Looks for Files".
