BigOven

 I would like to change the 'Start Up' default RBox in BigOven on another computer but the APPLY button is 'greyed out' so I can't make any changes.  Do you have any idea why it is greyed out?? 

I was able to change it the 1st time on my original computer but after I installed BigOven on my laptop too and tried to change it ~~ NO CAN DO!!! 

Also if I want to change one of the items in this area: i.e. Always Analyze Nutrition', after I click on the box to select it APPLY still doesn't work, so I can't change ANY of the items in this area that require you to hit APPLY.

How do I get this to work????  Please help!!!!!

It still doesn't accept the changes.  For example if I change the RBox 'start up' folder name to Favorites.crb and click OK it still reverts back to Standard.crb and if  I click on the BOX to 'Always Analyze Nutrition' or any of the other boxes the minute I exit the program and start BigOven again it is NOT checked and the changes I made in the STARTUP RECIPE BOX are not saved either.

So do you have any ideas on how to keep this from happening??  Please help!!

Are you logged in as an administrator?  When you press OK, these changes do apply and should get written out to the Windows registry (see http://www.bigoven.com/docs/regedit.htm for the registry location). It works here on XP, Vista and Windows 7 machines.

You might be being prevented for some reason from writing to the Windows registry, which might happen if your Windows login doesn't provide full permissions.

I do have all permissions!!  I tried one other thing.  I clicked on the 3 bullets in the Startup recipe box area under GENERAL, went to the FAVORITES folder, clicked on it, clicked OK, closed the program, opened the program back up and it WORKED!!  It now opens to the correct folder.  Now I am a 'Happy Cooker' again!!

Oh, sorry, yes -- the "startup recipe box" setting refers to program launch time -- it requires a close and re-opening of the program to see its effect.  Thanks!
