BigOven

Why do I get taken to the Facebook account link page EVERY SINGLE TIME I select Community?  I do not want to link my facebook and big oven logins and it is annoying that every time I select Community I am taken to this page.  Then when i select "no, not at this time, or whatever option it is" it logs me out of my Facebook account.

How do I bypass this screen?  At this point I don't even want to come to the Big Oven website any more. 

Simply select "No, don't link my account" on that page.  That will log you out of Facebook and won't ask for you to link again. But note that if you have another browser session up and are currently logged into Facebook, BigOven will prompt for this link.  We'll look into making this optional in the future.

Well that's the problem....I have clicked the "no don't link my account" so many times I've lost count.  Even when I only have one browser session running, eventually, I will exit our of Big Oven, log BACK into my Facebook acount, surf around the internet, then go back to Big Oven and get that stupid FaceBook link to Big Oven screen again.

I do not want to link my Big Oven account to Facebook and I do not want to be forced to log out of Facebook all the time.

Looks like an unintentional design flaw... We'll investigate what we can do here, thanks!

An update -- yes, we see in the code where this is happening.  May take a week or two to create and test this fix, but we'll definitely address this.  You should only have to click "No thanks" once, and BigOven should remember this, even if you are logged into FB elsewhere.  Thanks; again, this was a completely unintentional design flaw.  Sorry for the frustration.

We've just propped an enhancement (which may be one of a few necessary) to the site to address your (very legitimate) issue. 

When you click "No Thanks" at the bottom of the /facebookconnect.aspx page (the one that asks you to link the two), it shouldn't ever interrupt your flow through the site, even if you're later logged into Facebook.  Can you see if that's true on your end? 

(If you change your mind later on, you can visit www.bigoven.com/private/sec/facebook.aspx to change your Facebook settings.)
