Does the current BigOven mobile product offering support smartphones? If not, are there any plans to support?

Yes, Smartphone 6 would be the target.
I don't have internet acces on my smartphone but would love to be able to syncronize shopping lists, and maybe even recipes, to my smartphone
It's on our radar, but just to be clear, it's not on the immediate horizon. Pickup of the iPhone App has been phenomenal, but the free Palm OS and Windows Mobile applications -- even viewing the website from Windows Smartphones -- has been pretty low right now. Hard to justify it being a really high development priority until we notice market share being a bit higher.
