Update: Once you are logged into BigOven's Mobile Web on your Blackberry / iPhone / Treo / etc., you will now see buttons for quick-access to the recipes you've marked "My Favorites" and "My Try Soons" right under the search box.

Have you ever visited the grocery store and wished you could look up a recipe?

Now you can just point your Blackberry, iPhone, Samsung, Windows Smartphone, Treo, or what-have-you, to:

Bookmark it today on your web-enabled cellphone!

With this web address, you can use your cellphone to look up the ingredients for a recipe while you're out at the grocery store or farmer's market! You can even get a quick look at buying tips by typing in just an ingredient name (e.g., to see buying tips for asparagus, just type "asparagus"). Note, only about 1,010 articles are in our food dictionary; we do not have articles on every ingredient under the sun just yet.

Be sure to tell a friend! It lets you access all 160,000+ recipes on our site, and we've simplified the interface as much as possible.

Right now, all you can do is look up recipes via full text keyword search. THIS IS AN ALPHA RELEASE -- this means it's ready for testing by leading-edgers but we also know it's not perfect. We certainly feel there's a lot more we can (and will) add to keep it simple but make it even more useful. And keep in mind you'll need to log in to view the recipe details (but most cellphones should be able to remember your login once you enter it). We'll be adding more, but keeping it as simple as possible, over the coming months. But since it's already useful today (and free!), we thought some of you bleeding-edgers would like to have-at-it.

Make it a shortcut or "bookmark" on your mobile device today, and you'll breeze through your next grocery run.
