There is a word or an ingredient missing, and it is urgent that I understand what it is. Here follows the recipe as it appears on your BigOven website: . 1 c Chopped unpeeled tomato . 1 c Firmly packed fresh basil . 1/2 c Firmly packed fresh . 2 ts Fresh thyme . 1/4 ts Salt . 1 Clove garlic, minced 2 tb Olive oil BELOW THE "1 c Firmly packed fresh basil" is "1/2 c Firmly packed...." is this a mistake, a duplication of the basil ingredient above it, or ???? Thanks in advance for your response!

Nutritional analysis Seriously Wrong

Something in the nutritional database is seriously messed up! i imported the "Pork Steak Bake" recipe from the website, since it was simple. i tried the auto link, and it did not work, so i linked each ingredient, paying careful attention to the quantities of each, ie grams in the links i was making.

Still, the program tells me that 4 servings of this contain calories: 687257%/13745136 !!!!!!!

seriously, i want to make a crack about this, but 13 million calories is so far off the planet i can't think of anything!

Errors on nutrition analysis

I keep getting HUGE errors in the nutritional analysis of my recipes. I have checked the Nutrient Information for ingredients and they are, for the most part correct (although some of them omit information). I have gone through and added the nutrients by hand and with a calculator and the analysis for the recipe will be off by as much as 5x!

I purchased this program particularly for managing my brittle diabetes and mistakes in the nutrient information can mean a serious medical problem for me.

The program also appears to have great difficulty finding ingredients even though I have used it a dozen times before. When I try to find an ingredient for linking to nutrient information, the program cannot find it so I have to go through full list to find it. I am listing ingredients the way they are named on the list, so there is no reason for this ohter than a bug.

Another thing that is irritating but doesn't render the program unuseable is that I am unable to delete recipe boxes. I have gone to my folders directory and deleted and renamed files but the old files and/or names still show up when I try to open a file.

If there is no fix, please refund my money.

That did the trick! - not the fix, but rather, the install. Aparently Windows 98 does not typically come with those drivers. Thanks a lot.

I put a computer in my kitchen and installed a copy of bigoven on it. The program runs and shows the recipe boxes but i cannot open them. The filenames are good and they don't seem to be read-only. What causes this?

os: Windows 98SE, Internet Explorer 6.0

two questions - how to change email address, also bigoven keeps wanting to "debug" for the last couple of days, and I don't know how to fix it. Help???!!!

I don't see a solution in the help faq's, so if there is I'm sorry, but I don't understand it.

Big Oven stops working

I upgraded today to the newest version of Big Oven Deluxe 1.8.979 and immediately began having problems with the software quitting unexpectedly.

This seems to happen most often while editing recipes and scrolling. I saw a similar post made by halfadozen2000 where it was suggested to upgrade to a new version of Internet Explorer. I'm a Firefox user I've never had problems with Big Oven until downloading the upgrade earlier today. The program quits with nearly every recipe I attempt to edit which is incredibly frustrating.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to remove the upgrade so that my program goes back to working properly?
