Viewing BigOven data base recipes through the desktop application.

For the past three or four days, I have had a problem with viewing recipes from the BigOven data base through the desktop application. The recipes no longer fit on the viewable page width. The page format has changed and the text no longer wraps within the page width limit but rather continues to the right for maybe three normal page widths. You now need to use the left-right scroll bar to read a recipe.

When viewing recipes with multiple photos from within the desktop application (under the multiple image button), new photos are larger than the screen. You have to scroll the page both up and down, and left and right to view the entire photo or to select another photo to view. Older photos still work fine.

Can't view all info on Chefs Page in Desktop Application.

When viewing a Chefs Page on the web site there is a sidebar on the left that has the "WHAT"S IN SEASON", "USE UP LEFTOVERS", "RECENT RAVES" and "FIND BY FLAVOR" buttons. When viewing the Chef's Page in the desktop application, those buttons are no longer located to the left, but are now on top of the Chefs name and medal inforation.

When I import a new recipe with a photo onto my desktop application the photo is now larger than my screen. I now have to scroll the page both up and down, and left and right to see the photo and the recipe text is now smashed around the edges of the photo. Basically, I can no longer view/read the recipe, and I definitely won't be printing it. I tested a new recipe that I posted with a photo dimension of 360 X 270 and when I imported it back into my desktop application, it to overwhelmed my screen.

Can a user post a recipe and keep it private?

BigOven's website is a great idea. However, if I understand the rules correctly, we cannot post any recipe from our computer that is copyrighted by someone else. I wish there was a private feature. Here is what I would like to do.

Enter a a recipe that is copyrighted in my PC copy of BigOven. Use this version for menu planning and shopping list. I'd then like to post it in "private" mode on to the website, so that I can see it anywhere I am via the web and on my iPhone. However, no one else can see it since it is copyrighted.

Is this feature available or being considered?

I recently noticed that BigOven now supports a linkup with the iPhone - however it does not seem to support linking information from the BigOven application on my desktop to the iPhone as it does with the Palm or the WindowsMobile applications. Does anyone know of an application or a way to do this?

OK, So I have BigOven on my iPhone - works great. Now how do I tell my paid BigOven Windows Version so I can sync and share favorites in both places?I have not found anything on the desktop app to link these up...
