3 problems. printing, importing, and ingredients

I hate to bother you with this, but I truely have looked everywhere I can find in the FAQs and Message Board etc, and I'm getting nowhere.

I printed out my first recipe today and there was absolutely no border on the printout. It was so wide that it cut off all my ingredient amounts. How do i adjust the printing data so that it will print out on 8.5x11 size paper? Hmm.

Also, I tried to import a recipe that I have in Microsoft word 2007, student edition format. It wouldn't find the recipe but gave me an opportunity to find it. I did locate the recipe and when I clicked on it I got a message that said I probably need the Microsoft Data Access Component, free download, see FAQs. I did that, and downloaded the MDAC. When I started to install, it said that the components in the MDAC are already in my version of Windows. Help! Now I can't even open BO screen. I click open and it takes me to the My Computer screen. I click on Shared Documents, opening up to click on MBO recipes. I click on that and then get the blank page for the recipe that I was initially looking for. I just go around in a circles. Help.

One more thing. one of the things I liked most when I found MBO was that I could determine the nutrients in each recipe. I have noticed that in some recipes the nutrients are not complete because of the way they are written. I'm amazed that I figured that out! But I also notice that some common things are not recognized... Not a problem, if I can enter a new ingredient myself, with all the nutrients for that ingredient. Is this possible? I am on a special diet and it would be absolutely wonderful if that is possible.

I am really excited about learning to use this software, but I am beginning to get a little frustrated and feel like I am already fighting a loosing battle. : (

Printing a recipe

It would be nice if there were a PRINT IMMEDIATELY feature that simply printed the current recipe on the default printer. Right now it is Print->Preview and Print->Print Preview->Print->Printer dialog. It is a 5 step process to print a recipe.

I would like to be able to adjust the size of the food image on a recipe page, so that when I print it, it will fit on one page. Is the a way to do this?

How do you actually print to index cards? The layout is of an index card on a 8x11 sheet of paper. What about the card itself?

PRINT FUNCTION feature request

When using the FIND function in the desktop application to search for recipes in my recipe boxes and generate a listing of results, I would like to be able to print out the result list of recipe titles (or, titles and recipe numbers) or a list of a selected group highlighted within the search results. Not the whole recipes, but rather just the recipe titles or titles and recipe numbers.

Printed Image Size

Hello,

I like having images associated with the recipes, but when printing the recipes, the image often causes the recipe to spill over onto a second page.

I would like to have the ability to select the image size (perhaps small, medium, large?) so that I can keep the printed recipe to a single page.

Printing more than one recipe on a page

Hi. I've been using BigOven happily now for several years, but I could have sworn that there used to be an option to print several recipes on one page. Am I dreaming, or is this no longer possible? Thank you for a great program!

Hi, I'm new too. I was able to print on my HP C6180 on 4 X 6 cards (in the Photo tray) but the spacing isn't right and it doesn't all fit on one card, pushing a blank space onto the next card. (The 8.5" X 11" pages with 4" X 6" cards were extremely expensive coming to $.21 per card! Individual cards are only $.01 per card.) I looked at the themes and you say if you know some html (which I don't, but am willing to try) you can adjust them, but I didn't see how to get into the html code. You mentioned importing it into Word, but when I clicked on the link, it just took me to the main home page and I didn't find how to do that. Do you need additional software? My apologies if I missed something. I hope I am not asking dumb questions! :-(

One more question. I didn't see the "Don't print headers or footers" button and I deleted them trying to fit the recipe on the card, and now I don't know how to get them back. Can you help. I am sure it is pretty easy if you know what you are doing. Sorry!
