Sharing with foodie friends?

I would like to know how Foodie Friends is supposed to function. I have been invited to be a Foodie Friend by several members and have asked several others to be my Foodie Friend. Our avatars appear on each others chef pages, but other than that nothing has happened. Should I be getting email notification when a foodie friend post recipes, photos, tips, etc? Do my foodie friends get notifications when I post recipes, photos, tips, etc? If we are supposed to be getting notifications, I've never gotten one. I don't know if this is a function that is not working or if there is something more I need to do on my part...

Two questions: menu planning and upgrades

Hi,

I'm really excited about BigOven, but I'm not sure it will do what I want it for, so I only have the trial version yet.

One thing is menu planning. I'd like to be able to specify a range of dates and see that range's menu, rather than just a day or a month. If I want a Wednesday to a Wednesday, I'd like to be able to have that right in front of me.

The thing that keeps being mentioned about saving a menu to reuse would be great, too. My goal is to have 18 months of completely different menus saved. I have used a menu planning service in the past but my own needs have changed, and I can't find a service that will send me the kinds of meals I need to cook, so I'm doing my own.

One thing I'm needing is to be able to email recipes together with menu plans and shopping lists, because I'm helping my mom, who has glaucoma. She has software to read it all to her if I can send it in an email, or she can still use huge fonts. Can Big Oven do this?

Finally, is it $20 a year for upgrades and bug fixes? I know Big Oven does so much and so many changes were made the first couple of years, but when I look at the changelog now not much has happened recently, and that seems a bit steep, especially for bug fixes. I'm thinking maybe I should wait for BO 2.0.

Don't get me wrong: I want Big Oven, and I want it now. But there are things I need it to do!

Trouble Emailing

When sending an Email, I get an error message "Client Authentication Required. Use ESMTP EHLO and Auth".

What do I do?

It would be considerate of users if the Big Oven built in HELP did not indicate that Yahoo would work IF the user had the YAHOO PLUS email. Users could purchaseYahoo Plus just for this reason and THEN find out that it does not help. The info in HELP is very misleading.

Email Setup with Yahoo

I am having trouble enabling email in Big Oven. I have entered SMTP.mail.yahoo.com in the Server Box in Email Setup under Tools-Options in Big Oven as recommended for Yahoo, I do have Yahoo Email Plus but still I cannot email from within the Big Oven software. Any suggestions? I have looked at POP info under Yahoo, but do not see any help there.

How Do I get Backup Cd

I am ready to order the Deluxe $29.95 Big Oven but not real clear how to add CD backup to my order. Does it cost more? I read how but each time I click the CD icon I am not sure it is added . It really does not show it added to my order. Mayby I am doing it right/Mayby I am not. I just cannot see anything change on my order? Please explain. TYVM
