Search from Big Oven program

Why do you have two different search engines for the program? If I go to the "home page" in the program (clicking on the house button) I get a search box. I want to search for "Steak Tartar(e)" so I type in "Steak" and lots of steak recipes show up. then I continue with "Tartar" (without the "e") and absolutely nothing shows up. If this is supposed to be an intuitive search then why doesn't it find any recipes with just "Steak tartar" typed in? If I add the "e" then the recipes show up.

Now, if I go to the toolbar and select "Find" and type in "Steak tartar", immediately I get all the recipes without typing the "e". It's really frustrating! Please make both searches work the same.

Errors on nutrition analysis

I keep getting HUGE errors in the nutritional analysis of my recipes. I have checked the Nutrient Information for ingredients and they are, for the most part correct (although some of them omit information). I have gone through and added the nutrients by hand and with a calculator and the analysis for the recipe will be off by as much as 5x!

I purchased this program particularly for managing my brittle diabetes and mistakes in the nutrient information can mean a serious medical problem for me.

The program also appears to have great difficulty finding ingredients even though I have used it a dozen times before. When I try to find an ingredient for linking to nutrient information, the program cannot find it so I have to go through full list to find it. I am listing ingredients the way they are named on the list, so there is no reason for this ohter than a bug.

Another thing that is irritating but doesn't render the program unuseable is that I am unable to delete recipe boxes. I have gone to my folders directory and deleted and renamed files but the old files and/or names still show up when I try to open a file.

If there is no fix, please refund my money.

Search Problem.

Please open the Big Oven program on your computer. Go to the "Home" page, if it does not open immediately when the program starts (click the house button).

Type in "Greek" (no quotes) into the search box on the home page.

It should give a list of Greek recipes. Mine shows 10 recipes.

At the bottom it says: This is just a quick sample of what we've got. Search for:'Greek'

I would assume this means you have more recipes to list, but when I click there I go to a listing of VIDEOS showing how to make Greek Recipes.

Is this supposed to happen? I would assume you have more than 10 recipes with Greek in them. The above line doesn't say searching for videos.

Searching for BigOven ID number

I've tried a few times to search for a BigOven recipe by the ID number but it doesn't seem to work.

Is it possible to do this? Try 161411 - not found.

Where is BigOvenMobile.exe?

The Help file within BigOven says to download Big Oven Mobile from the "Download Center" on the web site. Well, I've spent the last 15 minutes searching for "mobile" (only to get no results) and Download, FAQ's, forums, etc. and can't find this executable anywhere.

Can somebody send me a link to the page where I can download Big Oven Mobile, please?

View recipes by sorted by number of favorites lists?

Is there any way to search for recipes and see which are on the most favorites lists? The star system is OK, but everybody gives their own recipes 5 stars when the list the recipe. Some recipes seem to be on more chefs favorites lists than they have received ratings.

Searching errors

When I first startup Big Oven it comes up with my recipes on the left and a home page greeting saying "Welcome Qwertz, you have "x" medals you can hand out", etc and an empty search box with a title "find recipe named".

I was looking for "Philippines". Not realizing that every letter I typed was being echoed onscreen under "This is just a quick sample of what we've got. Search for:" (I type by looking at the keyboard and not at the screen - sorry!), I continued to type the word "Philippines" (with an "s"). When I looked up I saw a list quickly pop onscreen and then immediately disappear and I was back to my welcome screen with "Philippines" in the search box.

Repeating the procedure I slowly typed "Philippine" and a list of recipes came up. Then when I hit the "s" all disappeared - this was the quick glimpse I had.

Now, A normal search (like in Google) would extract the word "Philippine" (no "s" on the word) from my query and have given me the listing the same as if I had typed "Philippines" (with an "s"). Your program does not do this. It is very frustrating as one has to know the "exact" keyword.
