Instructions for Bloggers
We're looking for people to get the word out on BigOven, and use it in their recipe and cooking blogs.
Did you know that if you create and actively post to a weblog ("blog") of your own, you can be eligible for free future BigOven upgrades? Doing so is the probably the easiest possible way to earn VIP status and never pay for a BigOven upgrade.
With great tools like www.blogger.com, it's also free and a fun way to share your own point of view with the world.
To be eligible, you MUST follow these basic rules:
(1) Be sure you're running BigOven version 1.8.5 or later.
(2) Make sure your blog prominently links back to BigOven.com. See our Links page for guidelines.
(3) Your blog must be kept relatively up-to-date -- we like to see at least weekly activity, but our guidelines are loose, and we realize that everyone blogs on different schedules. However, if it's a single page you've posted and clearly never update, you won't be eligible for free updates.
(4) You must paste the majority (or all) of the recipes in the blog in true "-= Exported from BigOven =-" format in its entirety, and you must double-check to ensure that you can copy the recipe text from a web browser and successfully paste them back into BigOven.
Notify us when it's ready, and we'll monitor your blog and add you to our lifetime free upgrade list as approved.

The steps involved were simply to sign up with Blogger (free), click on "create a new blog", chose the "Dots" template, and added a post in HTML mode. Copied and pasted recipes from BigOven into the blog in blogger's HTML mode (important).
