Have you enabled cookies on your browser?
Your browser needs to be able to accept cookies in order to log in.
A few other things to try:
1) Make sure your firewall has "BigOven" on its list of allowed
programs
2) Go into IE and make sure that Cookies are allowed --
Tools/Internet Options in IE; in IE7 you need to go into the Advanced
tab.
3) Go into IE's Tools/Internet Options/Security, and click on the
"Trusted Sites" zone and add both
http://www.bigoven.com and
http://bigoven.com

We often hear from BigOven for
Windows purchasers that they are trying to enter their Windows
application serial number that they purchased in as their password, or
that they are expecting a password to be created and emailed to them
when they purchase. We don't do that -- you need to sign up to use
the archive, whether you purchase the desktop recipe software or not;
this allows people to try it out without purchasing the program.
