Kosher Salt
The term "kosher salt" comes from using it to make kosher meats by removing surface blood. Nearly all salt is actually kosher, including table salt.
Kosher salt has a flat shape, unlike the more typical cubical form; kosher salt usually has a grain size larger than ordinary table salt.
