aerogarden works a bit too good

Last season I planted tomato and cucumber in my aerogarden.  Bought the seeds for a container garden so ignorantly thought I'd have smaller plants.  Noooo.  The plants nearly filled up my counter despite my pruning.

I had hundreds of flowers but unfortunately there was a late season blight and all but one cucumber withered.  I did get 10 tomatoes which were very flavorful but I used my own seeds.  A friend used the aerogarden seeds and they tasted like...water.

I then grew the herbs that came with the garden and they looked nice and did well through the autumn.

Next season I'm going with lettuce.
