Are you a developer, working on a website or application that could make use of a vast recipe archive? We'd like to know. We're currently working on a REST-based application programming interface (API) for BigOven.com that'll let you search the recipes, get search results, display recipe details, and more.
Possible applications? Mobile apps, fun mashups, in-home touchscreen apps, enhancing websites with recipe conntent and much more.
We're not yet final on our terms-of-use, but we're leaning toward free for private, non-commercial use and metered (and supported via paid subscription) for commercial use. A modest fee to cover our hosting costs will be required for subscribers.
It's work in progress right now; when the BigOven API is ready, we'll be happy to let you know more about it.
