love7721 ,Sounds good, but I'm confused. Typically you will make a roux by melting the butter and stirring in the same amount of flour and cook down until the flour taste is gone, then add it your mixture. It doesn't specifically say to do that. Is everyone else doing that our just adding it in seperately like it states in the instructions...??11y
garrettsgirl72 ,I just prepared this its in the oven now.it made WAY more than i thought out would.had to change casserole dishes.haven't tried it once its done baking but i sampled it as i was pouring it in the casserole dish and YUM11y
kanzal ,I wasn't too impressed with the taste of the neat mixture. I think the nutmeg threw me off. But it was edible. I won't make it again the same. Sorry.12y
tastetluu ,So sleepy. The suggested potato amount is a bit too much for my taste but just right according to the husband12y
jdramirez ,Cut this recipe in half. Added a few splashes of worstershire (sp?) to the meat mixture and put some shredded cheese over the potatoes for the last 10 minutes. Very good12y
jamiek ,I made a few adjustments since I did not have some things on hand. I used garlic powder to taste, and cut the recipe in half to feed a smaller family. Overall this was better than my previous shepherd's pie recipe because of the gravy that held it all together. Also the melted butter (and a 1/4 cup of milk) in the mashed potatoes made them so light and fluffy. They were perfect. I will definitely be using this version from now on.13y
