"I have always wanted to make homemade gyros, but thought it would be difficult. I am on a tight budget, so I used 1 pound ground turkey from Aldi, at $1,29! This whole recipe costed me less that $3! The taste was wonderfully close to restaurant gyros meat. I have treated my friends to samples, and will use this for picnics, potlucks and dinner parties." - nannacherie

I made this with turkey and the turkey was so dry. We could almost not eat it. Perhaps it is better with lamb.
