Original recipe makes 1 Servings
1 lbLean ground beef or turkey
1 tsGarlic; minced
1 cOnion finely chopped
2/3 cGreen pepper, finely
4 tbChili powder
1 tbCider vinegar
1/4 tsAllspice
1/4 tsCoriander
1 tsCumin
1/2 tsSalt, or to taste
1/2 cWater
16 ozCanned crushed tomatoes
16 ozCan red kidney beans with

Consumer Reports Chili Preparation

Cook beef, garlic, onion and green pepper in a heavy skillet over medium high heat, stirring frequently to break up meat. Cook until onion is soft and meat has last its pink color. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer the chili for 45 mins, stirring frequently. MEATLESS CHILI (VERY GOOD) FOLLOW THE BASIC RECIPE. OMIT THE BEEF AND WATER. USE 1 TBSP VEGETABLE OIL TO SAUTE THE GARLIC, ONION AND GREEN PEPPER.
