It is SO delish! I used spicy italian turkey sausage to give it more of a kick and put all 4 cups of kale in. Will definitely make again!

I used a combination of normal and spicy Italian sausage. Soooo good!!! Definitely need to do this one again

With spinach taste super, if using fresh spinach will have to add at the very last minute literally.

Very good. Seemed like a lot of water but it all absorbed into the lentils to make a thick plate of goodness. A good crusty bread would go well with this. I used spicy italian sausage.

I didn't like the sweetness of the Italian sausage too much, although it turned out pretty good, next time I will use smoked or Louisiana sausage instead.

Nice recipe. I didn't use sausage, instead I added six Franks cut into slices at the end. I didn't have stewed tomatoes at hand and added a can of diced tomatoes with green chili, which gave everything just the right amount of heat.

I had never made lentil soup before, and my husband had never had a lentil soup he liked. But this version, with the Italian sausage, is a delight. We finished off the entire pot in 3 days...even better reheated!

Made it and love it, I actually liked the kale in it. I'm not a vegetable eater but, this changed my ways and it's great to eat in the winter.

I didn't have a red potato so substitued a sweet potato. I have done this before in similar soups to good effect. It also adds some nice color. I used turkey broth as I have a great deal of that left from the broth I made from the Thanksgiving turkey. Again I don't think it makes much difference from chicken broth. A very satisfying hearty soup.

It was very good. I substituted fat free chicken broth and left out the potatoes and added more 1/2lb more sausage. Used same cook time.

I loved this recipe. Fast and easy to make. I was skeptical of the sausage, but it gave great flavor. I substitute Leek for the onion.....it gave great flavor and milder tone than onion. I also left out the potato to make it low carb

Excellent dish! I love thick soups that are really filling, and this soup fits the bill. I wasn't sure about the greens part of it at first, but it tastes good and adds more nutrition... double win.
