Original recipe makes 6 Servings
1 1/2 tsSalt
1 lgOnion; thinly sliced
Sliced green onions;
3/4 cVinegar
3/4 cWater
3/4 tsPepper
2 cn(13 1/4 oz.) sliced beets;
3/4 cSugar

Moms Pickled Beets Preparation

In a saucepan, combine the first six ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat; add beets. Let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour.
