"First time making homemade brownies and these were delicious! First off, you don't have to add nuts to this...I hate nuts in my brownies, so I added some leftover mini chocolate chips I had sitting in my cabinet. Also, I have gestational diabetes, so I took another reviewer's advice and added whole wheat flour instead of white. Couldn't tell the difference if you tried! So they ended up being tasty AND healthier! Will DEFINITELY be making these again! :)" - moomasters

Original recipe makes 1
3/4 cCocoa
1 cButter
1 cBrown sugar
1 cWalnuts; (or pecans), Chopped *
3 lgEggs
1 cSugar
1 1/2 tsVanilla
1 cFlour
1 1/2 tsBaking Powder

Money-Back Guarantee Brownies Preparation

Melt butter. In separate bowl, mix together sugars and cocoa. Add melted butter. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour and baking powder. Add vanilla and nuts. *DO NOT OMIT NUTS!!!! The brownies are noticeably moister WITH the nuts. The recipe calls for walnuts, but I prefer pecans (must be because Im in Georgia). Bake in 9"x13" pan 30 mins at 350 degrees F. I used buckwheat flower, and cacao Butter in with the normal butter and maybe this is where I went wrong. The texture was not sponge like enough and the walnut did not compliment. Choc chips would have been a better option and perhaps a different flour?

I have used this recipe a number of times because the brownies turn out really yummy. Although it doesn't take 30 minutes to bakes.

Don't know if it made a major differences but my Brownies came out dry. I did not use the nuts because I don't like them. How ling are they suppose to cook???

Itwas absolutely delicious! Theonly thing is you should have switched out the nuts for mini chocolate chips. Wouldhave been perfect. Either way, my whole family adored it.

I love making things from scratch but I've never done brownies before. The recipe is easy to follow. Only some of us like nuts so I sprinkled some walnuts over half and they came out great. I would make them again, but boxed is quicker and tastes pretty much the same so it would depend on how hands on I feel like getting lol.

This was GREAT! I didn't have cocoa around so I used Hersheys Chocolate Syrup instead. And I didn't use nuts!

I swapped the nuts for semi-sweet chocolate chips, and they were delicious.

Really awesome! But I added 4 tbs baileys Irish cream and only put in two eggs instead of three. Turned out really good!
