Chewy, moist peanut butter cookies. Warning: have a glass of cold milk nearby!
"As Peanut Butter Cookies go, these are excellent! Chewy, yet they still hold together well. My wife and youngest son love peanut butter cookies; I don't really care for them much unless they have chocolate in them -- next time, I'll top them with a Hershey's Kiss or something. (Making them today was my son's idea.) Definitely a fun rainy-day kid project. (I found 16 minutes to be the right baking time, at 300 degrees.)"- stevemur

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine flour, soda, and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk. In a large bowl, blend sugars using a mixer at medium speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste. Add eggs, peanut butter, and vanilla. Mix at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add the flour mixture and mix at low speed until just mixed. (Do not overmix). Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet, 1 1/2 inches apart. With a wet fork, gently press a crisscross pattern on top of the cookies. Bake for 8-22 minutes until cookies are slightly brown along the edges. Transfer cookies immediately to cool surface with a spatula
cokhmatov 2 months agoNever had a better pb cookie. So yummy and fluffy and chewy. Tastes like Reese's peanut butter!
SaraPlaia 9 months agoI've made this recipe twice now and both times the cookies were delicious. I made a few changes the second time and I thought they came out even tastier! I substituted light brown sugar instead of dark brown sugar and I only used 3/4 cup of peanut butter. Also I love chewy cookies so I felt 15-18 minutes worked well depending on how big I made them.
ginablondie1016 1 year agoThese needed more flour for sure. The spread alot, and the baking time was very illusive. I found that in my plain jane oven... took quite some time. 25 minutes almost. They were alright. I'll keep searching for a favorite.

sarahkeano 2 years agoYummy ;) they only take around 10-12 min though I'd imagine 22 min would burn them.
Mstracy 2 years agoGreat peanut butter flavor. Upped the temp to 350 for 10-12 mins and they were perfect.
Pebbles29 2 years agoCookies came out good. Total oven time was 25 minutes. A long time for cookies. Came out flat and the fork indents sorta melted away I guess.
