Waffles          
Original recipe makes 4
2 cButtermilk biscuit mix
1/4 cSugar
3 Eggs; beaten
1 1/2 cmilk
3 tbShortening; melted
1 cCranberries; raw; ground
ORANGE SAUCE
1/2 cSugar
2 tbCornstarch
1 tsSalt
1 1/2 cWater; boiling
1 tbButter; (or marg.)
1 tbOrange rind; grated
1/2 cOrange juice
1 tbLemon juice

Cranberry Waffles and Orange Sauce Preparation

Combine biscuit mix and sugar; stir in eggs and milk. Add melted shortening, mixing well; fold in cranberries. Bake in a preheated waffle baker, and serve with Orange sauce. Orange Sauce: Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add to boiling water. Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter orange rind, orange juice, and lemon juice.
