| 1/4 cSugar |
| 3 Eggs; beaten |
| 1 1/2 cmilk |
| 3 tbShortening; melted |
| 1 cCranberries; raw; ground |
| ORANGE SAUCE |
| 1/2 cSugar |
| 2 tbCornstarch |
| 1 tsSalt |
| 1 1/2 cWater; boiling |
| 1 tbButter; (or marg.) |
| 1 tbOrange rind; grated |
| 1/2 cOrange juice |
| 1 tbLemon juice |
Cranberry Waffles and Orange Sauce Preparation
Combine biscuit mix and sugar; stir in eggs and milk. Add melted shortening, mixing well; fold in cranberries. Bake in a preheated waffle baker, and serve with Orange sauce. Orange Sauce: Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add to boiling water. Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter orange rind, orange juice, and lemon juice.
