Original recipe makes 1 Servings
1/2 cSugar
1 1/2 cBoiling water
1 cPecans; chopped
1 cQuick-cooking oats
1/2 cMargarine or butter
1 tsCinnamon
6 tbButter;, melted
1 cSugar
2 Eggs
CAKE
3 tbmilk
1 cLight brown sugar
1 1/2 cFlour
1/4 tsSalt
TOPPING
1 tsBaking soda
1 cCoconut;, optional

Oatmeal Cake with Pecan Icing Preparation

** CAKE ** Pour boiling water over oats, add butter and let stand until butter is melted. Stir in sugars and eggs. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together. Stir in, mixing well. Turn into greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 miutes. ** TOPPING** Mix topping ingredients and spread while cake is still warm.
