Original recipe makes 6 Servings
2 cmilk
(quick or oldfashioned)
2 cWater
2 cQuaker Oats, uncooked
1 tsSalt

Oatmeal Cooked in Milk Preparation

Add salt to milk and water in saucepan; bring to a boil. For FLAKY OATMEAL: Stir in oats. Cook 1 minute for quick oats, stirring occasionally. Cook 5 minutes or longer for old fashioned oats. Cover pan, remove from heat and let stand a few minutes. For CREAMY OATMEAL: Stir in oats. Bring to a boil and cook as above. CHOCOLATE OATMEAL: Use 2 cups chocolate dairy drink in place of milk in above recipe. Cook as directed.
