Original recipe makes 18 Servings
1 1/2 Sticks Butter; room
2 tsOrange Peel; finely grated
1/2 cCornstarch
1/2 cPlus
1 tbSugar
1 cFlour

Orange Shortbread Preparation

Grease and flour 9" square baking pan. Beat butter and the 1/2 cup sugar with mixer til creamy. Beat in orange peel. Stir in flour and cornstarch til blended. Spread mixture in prepared pan. Chill 30 min. Heat oven to 350. With sharp knif score dough in 1 1/2x3" bars. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar. Bake 50 min. or til golden. Cut through scored lines.
