2 tbVegetable oil
3 tbMargarine or butter
1 Egg
2 cBisquick original baking mix
1 cMaple-flavored syrup
2/3 cOrange juice
MAPLEORANGE SYRUP
2/3 cmilk

Orange Waffles with Maple-Orange Syrup Preparation

HEAT waffle iron; grease if necessary. Beat all ingredients except Maple-Orange Syrup with wire whisk or hand beater until well blended. POUR batter by scant 1 cupfuls onto center of hot waffle iron. BAKE until steaming stops and waffle is golden brown. Carefully remove waffle. Twelve 4-inch squares. Maple-Orange Syrup: Heat all ingredients until warm. From .     These are great, I tried making waffles with bisquick before, and it turned out horrible (the waffles were like large biscuits, not light and fluffy at all), but these turned out teriffic and are my new favorite waffle recipe. The maple orange syrup is a really nice touch too, and I've actually made that just by itself for other things without the waffles (we had it with our ultimate melt in your mouth bisquick pancakes the other day, really really good).

    We use a belgian waffle maker (the kind you see in hotels that you flip over and have really deep pockets), and they turn out awesome every time.
