Oven Baked French Fries Preparation
Mix together spices (or just use salt if you dont want seasoned fries). Bake or nuke 1-2 potatoes per person and let them cool a little. Slice each potato lengthwise into 6-8 wedges and lightly sprinkle each wedge with seasoning mix and place, skin side down, on a cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 min or until crispy. You can play around with the spices and come up with your own favorite. Some suggestions: seasoned salt, onion or garlic salt, cajun seasoning, garlic pepper... I also make a dip for them: 1 packet buttermilk ranch dressing mix 1 1/2 c ff sour cream 1/2 c ff mayonaise Mix it all together and chill for a couple hours or overnight. (You can eat it right away, but its even better after it sits a while) Posted by MAYFLIES@aol.com to the Fatfree Digest [Volume 11 Issue 15], Oct. 15, 1994.
