"An excellent recipe. I served it with a tossed green salad with feta cheese and a hot Mexican sauce to go with the fishcakes.
This is a definite favourite so many thanks!
My husband is a keen fisherman and catches many trout which, when filleted and deboned, are just like salmon.
I microwaved these fillets first before constructing the fish cakes."

dianashaffner 7 months agoI used bread instead of crackers and different spices. Mine needed a bit more baking time but generally the idea of baking instead of frying is great. I served them with salsa. This is now on my favorites list :-) Thanks for posting this idea!

onetwoboyz 2 years agowhat an easy but tasty recipe, great for those 'sure wish I didn't have to make supper' nights, throw together a salad and 15 minutes later we are sitting down to a good meal. appreciate the post, thanks.
LoraP 2 years agoI made a huge platter of fresh salmon for dinner over the holidays and with the leftovers, made this dish. The recipe worked perfectly and everyone (5 teens and an adult) gobbled it up. I should have made more. I submitted a photo showing how I served it on a bed of wild rice and steamed fresh green beans. I would absolutely make it again.
jhenington 2 years agoIt really tastes good. Easy to make, but, it will not cook in 10 minutes. I had to cook it 20 minutes to get it to set even after pouring off all the oil from the can of salmon.

dle89 4 years agoWell, I don't like fish at all, but my fiance loves fish so I decided to make this. He LOVED this recipe. I even tried it and enjoyed it. Will definitely make again!
ChefCherayl 4 years agoI didn't properly read the recipe and had fresh salmon instead of canned, I pan seared the salmon with a Cajun seasoning blend, flaked it and let it cool in the fridge before mixing in to the egg mixture. My whole family LOVED it! Will be making this one on numerous occations I'm sure!

promfh 8 years agoDoing these in the oven is a great way to save on fat rather than the traditional frying. Try rolling them in Panko (Japanese bread crumbs) before baking them for a very crisp exterior and moist interior.
