Zesty Steak Salad From Lhj
Ingredients
| 1 tsRed pepper flakes |
| 1 tbSoy sauce |
| 2 cShredded daikon radish or |
| 1 tbGrated fresh ginger |
| 2 cTrimmed watercress |
| 1 tbSoy sauce |
| 1/2 tsGarlic; minced |
| 1 tbWasabi powder* |
| 1/2 cJulienned green onions |
| 2 tbVegetable oil |
| 1/4 tsBlack Pepper; freshly ground |
| 1/4 cRice wine vinegar |
| 1/4 lbSnow peas; trimmed |
| WASABI DRESSING |
| 1 tsSalt |
| 1 lbBeef flank steak |
| 1 cSliced red radishes |
| SALAD |
| 6 cThinly sliced romaine |
| 6 cThinly sliced Napa cabbage |
Zesty Steak Salad From Lhj Preparation
1. Prepare grill or heat broiler. Combine soy sauce and red pepper flakes in pie plate. Add steak, turning to coat. Grill 5 minutes per side. Let stand 5 minutes. Slice diagonally, very thin. Cook snow peas in boiling water 30 seconds; rinse with cold water. Halve diagonally. 2. Make Wasabi Dressing: Meanwhile, puree ingredients in blender. Transfer to large bowl. 3. Add all vegetables to dressing and toss to coat. Spoon onto plates and top with sliced steak. Makes 6 servings. *Wasabi powder is available in Asian markets or by mail from Mo-Hotta Mo-Betta, 800-462-3220.
