3/4 cPlus
2 cSelf-rising flour
1/4 To (up To )
1/2 c(about 2 Ounces) shredded
1/2 tsCayenne pepper
1/2 cPecans; chopped
2 tbmilk
1/2 cShortening

Zippy Cheese Biscuits Preparation

Christmas. Combine flour and shortening; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add cheese, milk, pecans, and red pepper, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
