Zippy Cheese Biscuits

| 3/4 cPlus |
| 2 cSelf-rising flour |
| 1/4 To (up To ) |
| 1/2 c(about 2 Ounces) shredded |
| 1/2 tsCayenne pepper |
| 1/2 cPecans; chopped |
| 2 tbmilk |
| 1/2 cShortening |
Zippy Cheese Biscuits Preparation
Christmas. Combine flour and shortening; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add cheese, milk, pecans, and red pepper, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield: about 1 dozen. Posted to MC-Recipe Digest V1 #805 by Nancy Berry
