8 cPork Stock
1 cFinely diced celery
2 cHeavy cream
3/4 lbFinely diced ham
1 tsWhite pepper
1 cFinely diced carrots
1 cFinely diced onion
1 lbDried green split peas

Split Pea Soup with Ham Preparation

Soak beans overnight or cover with water in a large soup kettle and boil for 1 hour. Drain water. Add all ingredients except cream and simmer until peas and vegetables are tender. Add cream and heat through. Serve immediately.
