| 1 1/2 lbBeef stewing meat; or lamb stew meat; cut |
| 1/2 tsBlack pepper |
| 18 lgMushrooms |
| 1 tsCoriander leaf; ground |
| 3 slicesBacon |
| 1 1/2-inch sliceGinger root; minced |
| 1 tsTurmeric |
| 1/4 cRed wine |
| 3 mdPotatoes; par-boiled |
| 1/4 colive oil |
| 1/2 smOnion; finely chopped |
| 1 Garlic; minced |
| 18 Cherry tomatoes |
| 1 Sweet green peppers; seeded |
| 1/4 cFresh Lemon Juice |
| 1 tsSalt |
| 1/4 tsCayenne pepper |
| 1 tsCurry powder |
| 1 Red or yellow bell peppers; |
| 18 Pearl onions; par-boiled |
Shish Kebab Preparation
Blend olive oil with wine and lemon juice. Stir in onion, ginger, garlic, and spices. Place meat chunks in marinade and turn to coat. Marinate overnight, turning pieces occasionally. Cut bacon, potatoes and peppers into 2-bite sized pieces. Thread meat and vegetables onto skewers, placing a piece of bacon over each meat chunk.
