Suggest a better descriptionSieve the flour and bicarbonate of soda into a medium mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre, add the milk, mashed potato and egg. Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined. Add the melted butter and stir in. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Spoon rounded tablepoonsful of the mixture into the pan, about 2cm apart. Cook over a medium heat for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Cut the ham slices in half and place on to the potato pancakes. Serve with the fruit chutney. NOTES : A traditional British meal comprising of ham, potato and chutney.
