Original recipe makes 4
***Sauce***
3 tbVinegar
1 cCelery; diced
2 tbBrown sugar
1 pkHamburger buns
1/4 cOnion; chopped
1/2 cKetchup
2 tbButter or margarine
1/2 cTomato sauce
***Meat Mixture***
1 tsPrepared mustard
3 tbGreen pepper; chopped
1 lbHamburger, lean

Peg Moores Sloppy Joes Preparation

Saute the onion, green pepper, and hamburger in the 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the salt. (I omit the salt entirely) Sauce: Mix in bowl and add to the meat mixture. Simmer for 1/2 hour. If soupy add 1 teaspoon of corntarch. Note: This is one of our favorites. The recipe is easily doubled. Posted to MM-Recipes Digest by BobbieB1@aol.com on Sep 10, 1999
