1/2 tsCaraway seeds
1 lgOnion; diced
1 lbKielbasa sausage; sliced
1 cDry white wine
1 16-oz canSauerkraut
2 Bay Leaves
6 Peppercorns

Kielbasa Sausage with Spiced Sauerkraut Preparation

Combine onion, sauerkraut, wine, bay leaves, caraway seeds and peppercorns in heavy large saucepan. Cover and simmer mixture 30 minutes. Add sausage and simmer 20 minutes. Discard bay leaves and serve. Serves 4. Bon Appetit October 1992

An old standby. And lots of ways to vary. Riesling works, but if you want a dryer version can use Chardonnay or Pinot grigio. Also dice up an apple and add couple whole all spice. Ca

I doubled the recipe, except for the onion, which I'd probably double next time. I also omitted the carraway seeds. No surprises: tasty.
