Original recipe makes 4
GENERAL
500 gLean minced lamb; or beef
1 Garlic; crushed
1 tbparsley, fresh; Freshly chopped
2 medium slicesbread; water
Salt
1 mediumonion; finely chopped
2 tbmint; Freshly chopped
FOR FRYING
Plain flour; for dusting
1 Egg
Vegetable oil; for shallow frying

Kofte Preparation

Squeeze out excess water from the bread, leaving it quite dry. Combine all the ingredients for the kofte and mix well. Make walnut-shaped balls and keep them covered until they are to be cooked. Then roll them lightly in flour and fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden all over.
