Original recipe makes 8
1 tbSalt
1 Garlic
1 Bay leaf
1 tbolive oil
1/2 cCelery; Sliced Thin
5 cWater
1 1/2 tbTomato paste
1/8 tsChili powder
1/2 cParsley; chopped
1 cLentils; Red
1 cOnions; Chopped
1 cCarrot; Diced

Indian Lentil Soup Preparation

Put first 7 ingredients in pot. Bring to a boil then add next 4 ingredients and continue simmering till lentils are soft. Approx. 2 hrs. Just before serving add the chopped parsley. Recipe by: LCA Posted to EAT-LF Digest by Angie Phillips on May 21, 1999,
