3/4 cCaster sugar
1 tbmilk
1/2 cSelf-raising flour
1 cPlain flour
2 Eggs
125 gUnsalted butter; melted
2 1/2 tsGround ginger
1/2 cmacadamias; Roughly chopped
1 1/4 cdried figs; Finely diced, (Greek figs)

Ginger And Fig Slice with Macadamias Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 180deg.C. Line a 18cm X 28cm slice tin with Glad Bake. 2. Sift together flours and ginger and place in a mixing bowl with sugar, figs and macadamias. 3. Mix together the eggs and milk and add to the flour mixture with the butter. Stir to combine, then spoon into prepared tin. Bake about 25 minutes or until light golden on top. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack. Slice can be iced with lemon or chocolate icing if desired.
