Suggest a better descriptionGrate the corn into a sieve and leave to drain. Meanwhile, put 1 tablespoon of gram flour and all the other ingredients, except the oil, in a bowl and season with salt. Add the corn and mix well. If the mixture is too wet, add another 1-2 tablespoons flour. Pour oil to a depth of about 5cm (2 inches) into a deep-fryer or large saucepan and heat until hot enough to brown a cube of bread in 30 seconds. Shape the corn mixture into small balls and fry them, in batches if necessary, in the hot oil over a medium heat for 5-6 minutes until light brown. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
