Original recipe makes 4 servings
; strips (3oz)
6 Peeled spring onions;
; (8oz)
25 gButter; (1oz)
50 gChestnuts; sliced (2oz)
250 gCooked gammon or shoulder
1 tbVegetable oil
75 gSwede or turnip; cut into
Grated rind and juice of 1/2
3 tbRedcurrant jelly
Salt

Festive Fry Preparation

1. Heat the butter and oil in a large frying pan or wok. 2. Add the swede or turnip and spring onions and stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Add the chestnuts, gammon, orange rind and juice, redcurrant jelly and seasoning to taste. Stir fry for a further 5-6 minutes. Serve immediately. NOTES : A delicious stir fry with a hint of Christmas.
