1 tbAll-purpose flour
Egg whites
Conventional cake mix

Deliciously Quick And Easy Cake Preparation

Select your favorite flavor and brand of conventional cake mis. Spray desired size pan(s) with cooking spray. Prepare according to package directions with the following modifications: Add 1 tablespoon of flour to the dry mix and blend well. Substitute an equal amount of apple sauce for vegetable oil and substitute an equal number of egg whites for whole eggs. Cool in pan(s) on rack. Remove when complete cool. Frost cake and garnish with fresh berries if desiered. 1 cake = 16 servings. Savings: 1/3 C. substitution of applesauce for 1/3 C. vegetable oil and 3 egg whites used in place of 3 whole eggs will elmininate 715 calories and 87 grams of fat in the whole recipe.
