| 2 cmushrooms; (5 oz.) sliced |
| 1 10.5-oz canmushroom gravy |
| 2 tbChopped fresh parsley |
| 1 tsSalt |
| 1 1/2 lbGround beef |
| 1 tshorseradish; Prepared |
| 1 Egg |
| 1/4 cSeasoned bread crumbs |
Diner Salisbury Steak Preparation
In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, egg, parsley, horseradish and salt; mix well. Shape into 4 oval patties about 1/2 inch thick. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef patties and cook 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until no longer pink inside. Transfer to a platter and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm. Drain off all but 1 tablespoon of the liquid from the skillet. In the same skillet, saute mushrooms over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes, or until tender. Add gravy and heat 3 to 4 minutes, or until heated through. Pour the gravy mixture over the beef patties and serve.
