Original recipe makes 1 servings
Black pepper
1 cChicken broth
3/4 cLight cream
Chopped basil leaves
Flat-leaf parsley
2 slProscuitto
Salt
4 slBacon
2 ozParmesan cheese
Spinach fettuccine

Classic Carbonara Preparation

Grate Parmesan cheese into a bowl. Add chicken broth & cream. Stir well. Add salt & pepper to taste. Add spinach fettuccine to pot of boiling water. Cook al dente. Drain. Chop proscuitto & add to bowl of sauce. Stir in crumbled bacon. Add parsley & basil. Toss together well. Put pasta back into pot & pour sauce over all. Turn heat to low & toss until well heated. Turn off heat & cover until ready to serve. Approximately 5-8 minutes.
